One may headline this with “If you don’t have a jailbreak, you don’t have a jailbreak”.
Some of you might already have their iDevice jailbreaked. One may do so for a variety of reasons.
I won’t comment on reasons like being able to download AppStore apps “in another way”.
This was never something I preferred and I’ll never will either.
From my perspective time’s changed when it comes to the decision whether to jailbreak or not. Without question: At the early days of iOS a jailbreak was mandatory for most of the users.
At the latest with upcoming iOS 5 things changed from my perspective. Since I’m owning an unlocked iPhone I skipped jailbreaking due to let’s call it laziness. I just wanted to get away from the need to wait until I update to a new iOS version because there was no Jailbreak available yet. So from MY perspective one should not be to dependent on a Cydia app.
iguitardude2744 just released a video of his most favored Cydia tweaks in 2011.
Those are very impressive and also useful additions to the stock functionality. From my perspective I’m gonna stick to my “no-jailbreak-anymore” way.
What about you guys? Are you still jailbreaking your iDevices? If yes: For what reason? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
